italia: hello everyone, my name is italia and i am in 12th grade. i love adrenaline! i played many sports and i can honestly say that cheer has the most adrenaline. i been cheering since freshmen year and i am captain for san pasqual high;)i am planning on going straight to a four year and major on performing arts. this is my last year so wish me luck!!

cheer not a sport?

cheer is not considered a sport because it is known as girls running around in skirts. on the contrary, running around is last in mind. to become a cheerleader you need, strength, courage, endurance, coordination, and a high tolerance in pain.
it is known that cheer is the most dangerous sport in the nation. if a girl's posion is flying, she gets launched up to 15 or more ft. in the air. if she gets dropped the imjuries can be; broken neck, arm, cincussion, fractures and maybe death. another important position is basing. basing is where strong girls throw the flyers up in the air. the risks are broken noses, concussions, butsted lip, black eyes, and many more.
cheer has little to no respect due to the ignorance. most people do not know the hard work and dedication it takes. i love cheer bacause it involves a lot of talents such as dancing, gymnastics, coordination, flexibility, and the ability to perform. i am planning on persuing this awesome sport in college and become a cheer coach when im older.

when you get the time, look at cheer videos. (try cheer extrme, their the best!!)
